Boy Bird with Big Glasses
Does anyone remember an old cartoon that had an overbearing, big Momma Bird, and her son (?), who had great big glasses and was always reading a book? I've scrolled through the toon list, but no names rang a bell. Login to reply to this topicComments:
I think you're remembering a Foghorn Leghorn cartoon. Maybe a couple of them featured the young brainy bird. Since Foghorn started as a foil for Henery, that would explain the art looking similar. This should be the right era of cartoons for Don to recognize right away.
Sounds like Ollie Owl. I don't remember him in any Foghorn Leghorn cartoons (the brainy bird there was somebody else), but then, I don't remember him in cartoons at all, tho I've been reliably told he was in them. I remember him as Henery Hawk's friend in comic books.
The first guy I though of was Owl Jolson from I Love to Sing-a, but he wasn't particularly brainy. He just loved to sing-a. Quack, Don
sounds like when Foghorn "babysat" brainy youngster, I think there was formulas etc. to defeat the Dog
I think tent57 is remembering the same cartoon(s) that I was thinking of.
